离散余弦变换与小波变换的比较

摘要
研究了离散余弦变换和小波变换性能的不同。介绍了离散余弦变换的数学原理及其应用上的特点,以及小波变换的数学原理和信号处理中的分频特点。最后,对比了离散余弦变换(DCT)与离散小波变换(DWT)图像编码的性能,得到了它们图像编码各自的优缺点。
The study researches the difference between discrete cosine transform and wavelet transform.The character of DCT above mathematical principle and application is put forward.On the contrary wavelet transform is showed that includes its mathematical principle and peculiarity of frequency division.Finally the relative merits are found in picture coding according to their respective performance.
