ABSTRACTIn this paper, the inverse problem of the 1-D viscoelastic wave equation inspacetime domain is discussed. An iterative numerical algorithm for solving viscocoefficient is given and the convergence of this iterative method is proved. The numerical results show the feasibility and effectiveness of the method.
