Iris yellow spot virus is widespread in Zimbabwe. The pathogen was detected on onion, garlic, leek and shallot. Farmers do not know about IYSV occurrence. Zimbabwean IYSV isolates are most closely related to the South African isolate (Accession code EF597801).
