High loading of quercetin on initial and Zn-modified MCM-41 and SBA-16 carriers.

The quercetin molecule is adsorbed to the silanol groups and/or the Zn2+ cations of the carriers.

The stable Zn-quercetin complex on the zinc modified supports was registered.

Faster quercetin release from pure MCM-41 and SBA-16 carriers in buffer at pH = 5.5
