Home Field Advantage (HFA) was tested for <em>Acacia mangiumem> and <em>Eucalyptus grandisem>.
Leaf and fine root litter decomposed in a 1–2 year reciprocal transplant experiment.
There was no observable HFA for either leaves or fine roots of either species.
<em>Acaciaem> residues decomposed more slowly despite higher initial N and P concentrations.
Decomposition rates were probably limited by C quality and energy availability.
