With the recent passing of Roscoe Brady, an era has ended in the field of lysosomal biology in health and disease. In the past decades considerable progress has been achieved in many aspects of Gaucher disease, including treatment. The association of glucocerebrosidase and parkinsonism has broadened the relevance of this research.
