文摘

A novel and relevant role for the LPA/LPA1 signaling is proposed.

LPA1-null mice are a new genetic model for excessive alcohol consumption vulnerability.

The effects observed in null-mutant mice have been reproduced in wild-type mice after administration of LPA1 antagonist.

Pharmacological manipulation of LPA/LPA1 pathway could modulate alcohol use.
