Simulation of turbulent combustion in a self-aerated domestic gas oven

Velocity, turbulence, temperature and reactive scalars were calculated. Intake and outlet slots are discussed for the effectiveness of the aeration. Vortical motions seem to reduce burning intensity and peak flame temperature. Effects of slots on temperature uniformity of the cooking compartment are examined. The flue gases passing to the cooking compartment appears to be sufficiently diluted.
