New pomegranate cultivars are appearing due to increasing consumer interest. The positive health effect of pomegranate is due to its unique antioxidant activity. Antioxidant activities and total phenolics of cultivars worldwide were reviewed. Important ingredients of pomegranate cultivars were also included.
