Zircon Geochronology of Basement Rocks from the Bayan Obo Area, Inner Mongolia, and Tectonic Implications
摘要
Basement rocks at Bayan Obo, Inner Mongolia are composed of Neoarchean mylonitic granite-gneiss (2 588 ±15 Ma), Paleoproterozoic syenite and granodiorite (2 018 ± 15Ma), and biotite granite-gneiss & garnet-bearing granite-gneiss(~1 890 Ma). Giant Bayan Obo REE deposit is just located in the Archean North China craton. The collision orogeny movement of north margin of North China craton between 2.0 Ga and 1.9 Ga brought the swarm of diorite-granodiotite magma and intense regional peak metamorphism event.
