Fires broke out near the Kashiwazaki nuclear power station , causing a small leak of radioactive material into the sea. Felt from Puerto Rico in the north to as far as Guyana and Venezuela in the south. No tsunami warning issued due to the deep hypocenter of the earthquake [5] .
