GPU处理系统在地震资料处理中的应用

摘要
随着地震勘探技术的发展,地震资料处理的数据量越来越大,而用于地震资料处理的计算硬件仍主要是大规模的PC集群,其庞大的机体占地面积和高电能消耗都制约着地震资料处理特别是叠前深度偏移处理技术的深化发展;GPU/CPU联合计算系统的出现,为大数据量叠前偏移处理提供了硬件和技术支持,使得逆时偏移处理的实施成为可能。本文阐明了GPU处理器的特点,并应用GPU提速技术对某地区三维地震资料进行了叠前深度偏移处理,成效显著。
With development of seismic exploration technology,the data quantity of seismic processing is more and more huge,but the computing hardware used in seismic data processing still mainly is the PC cluster now,with huge cover area and high power consumption.And this certainly will restrict the deepening development of seismic data processing especially the prestack depth migration technology.The appears of GPU/CPU Co-Processing Parallel Computing system,providing hardware and technical support for prestack migration of huge data,makes it possible to the implementation of RTM.In this paper,the characteristics of the GPU processor are illustrated,the application of GPU acceleration technology is used to do prestack depth migration processing of 3D seismic data of DaTun areas,and the practical results show that the technology accelerates at least more than 25 times the calculation speed of CPU.
