活动断层的基本理论与常用研究方法

摘要
活动断层是目前工程地震和地震地质领域研究的热点之一,它对于地震的预防和预报都具有极为重要的意义。在不同的专家和学者的研究成果的基础上,结合作者近几年来的学习和研究体会,认为活动断层往往是孕震场所,但并非全部,大地震往往只发生在地震空区的位置。总结了活动断层和地震活动的几条经验性规律。
Nowadays active fault is one of the important issues in the research areas of engineering earthquake and the seismic geology,and it is very important to preventing and forecasting earthquake.The paper introduced the basic knowledge of the active fault,including the conception and theories with active fault,summarized the main way of studying active fault and its application.According to my study and research experience,the outcomes of various experts and scholars were introduced.The author concluded that earthquakes often take place in active faults,however,not all earthquakes are generated at the bases of active faults,and big earthquakes usually are triggered at earthquake vacancies.At the end the paper summarized several empirical rules with regard to active fault and earthquake activity.
