低剖面宽带表面波天线

摘要
本文设计了一款低剖面宽带表面波天线。该天线由中心馈电的圆形贴片天线和加载周期性方形贴片阵列的介质覆层组成。通过选择合适的周期性单元尺寸,该天线激励出强烈的表面波。表面波在介质覆层上传播并沿地板边缘衍射,产生类似单极子的方向图。通过在圆形贴片周围引入截断的周期性阵列环形结构,增加了表面波的衍射场,从而提高了天线带宽和增益。对剖面高度约为0.07 λ_0的天线进行了加工和测试,实测的|S_(11)|<-10d B的阻抗带宽和最大增益分别为17.5%和8d Bi。结果表明该天线在无线通信领域具有重要的应用潜力。
A novel planar patch antenna that realizes a monopole-like radiation pattern with a low-profile and broad bandwidth is presented. The antenna consists of a center-fed circular patch antenna surrounded by a ring of periodic square patches to excite the surface waves, and a dielectric superstrate loaded with an array of periodic elements to propagate the surface waves, which can be identified as a surface wave antenna. The diffraction of surface waves at the edge of the ground plane generates a monopole-like radiation pattern. The introduction of the truncated ring constructively adds the diffraction filed of surface waves, bandwidth and gain are enhanced. An antenna prototype with a profile of about 0.07λ_0 is fabricated and tested, which resonates at 5.2 GHz with a bandwidth of 19.2% and a 7.6 d Bi gain. The proposed antenna has a great potential for modern wireless communication.
