摘要

湖北省远安县海生爬行动物化石分布集中、类型丰富,目前已发现有3目9属10种,以湖北鳄类为主,伴有鱼龙类和鳍龙类。这些化石的模式标本,只有少部分是原地采集,大部分是在当地采石或生产活动中发现的。各类化石在地层柱中的位置长期存疑。笔者通过2013年参与远安县国家重点古生物化石集中产地申报、古生物化石剥露、剖面测制等工作以来,对该区进一步系统科学剥露、研究、保护与开发利用工作提出以系统剥露地为基础,建立原地保护馆和标本陈列馆,兼顾科普旅游,结合周缘武陵峡景区、陈湾温泉度假村、中国化石第一村等旅游项目,组成远安北部小旅游圈,带动该地经济发展。
        Yuan'an marine reptile fossils are concentrated in distribution and abundant in types. At present,10 species of9 genera and 3 orders have been found,mainly crocodiles in Hubei Province,accompanied by ichthyosaurs and pterosaurs. Only a few of the type specimens of these fossils were collected in situ,most of them were found in local quarrying or production activities. The position of various fossils in the stratum pillars has long been questioned. The authors have participated in the declaration of centralized origin of key paleontological fossils,the exhumation of paleontological fossils and the profile survey since 2013,and has discussed some of own experiences,and put forward some preliminary ideas for further systematic scientific exhumation,research,protection and development and utilization of the area.
