摘要
Tissue engineering is a relatively new subject that applies the principles of engineering and life sciences to the development of functional substitutes for repairing, restoring, replacing, and regenerating damaged tissue.A pivotal element in tissue engineering is biocompatible scaffolds that mimic the extracellular cell matrix (ECM) and support the growth of living cells.Multiple methods have been used in tissue scaffold fabrication.This paper introduces the recent research progress in our group with regard to scaffold fabrication using different fabrication methods including electrospinning, thermally induced phase separation, and microcellular injection molding.Various polymeric materials and biocompatible additives were also investigated.
