Kerogen type, quality, and thermal maturity has been investigated. Palynofacies indicates low-energy, shallow-marine, oxygen-depleted setting. Palynofacies and kerogen analyses indicate well-preserved, lipid-rich organic matter. Sulfur-depleted kerogen is composed of predominantly fluorescent AOM. Organic matter corresponds to type II kerogen (VRo ∼0.3–0.4%).
