The upward infiltration is defined by a modified Haverkamp et al. (1994) model. The S and β parameters are optimized form an exfiltration curve. The θ(h) parameters are estimated from the optimized S and β parameters. The method was tested on theoretical and experimental soils. Robust estimations of α and n were also obtained.
