A new design of Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) system was proposed in the Yellow River floodplain. Three Anti-clogging strategies were adopted in this MAR system. Advantages: no energy consumption, no land occupation, managed groundwater recharge and water logging control. Combining it with water-saving irrigation strategies can reduce the irrigation quota and groundwater non-point pollution.
