摘要

ln order to imvestigate pluvial lakes in the gobi two places were selectde for field studies khongoryn Els in South-and Mongol Els in West-Monglois In the easlern and eectral parts of Khongoryn Els two small endorheic basins，Baysn Tukhem and Khongoryn Gol depressions were studied。Pluvial lake deposits and beach ridges both supposediy mid-Holocene in age give evidence of a 9m and a 15m diip freshwaler lake，respectively。Today both deprissions are nearly dried ort and exposed to wind deflation.A different siuation was found an Tujin Sair river valley which cuts thyerough the dune field at its lowest and narrowest（3km）part。
