The authors reviewed the history of geochemistry using in active volcano monitoring and analyzed the relationship between the variation of gas elements obtained in Changbaishan volcano observatory and volcanic activity. The authors get the conclusion that both geochemistry method and the routine gas analysis can reflect the information of volcano activity and earthquake activity, and both of them can play an important role in prediction of volcano eruption.
