     Disaster-causing body of rockfall hazard has the characteristics of concealment, it＇ s difficult to find out all of disaster-causing body with traditional researching method. Once destroyed, it often cause mass death and casualty. Therefore, how to identify and prevent the happening of the disaster early, has become the focus of scholars and experts in geological hazard prevention and treatment. Take the rockfall hazard happened at Longchang Town in Kaili city for example, using GIS technology and the method of risk evaluation, super- posing all the factors that affecting the rockfall hazard, to analyze the possibility, dangerousness and vulnera- bility of the hazard, and obtained the results of hazard risk evaluation. It provide reference and guidance for the prevention of hazard.
