     Qiangtang basin has the feature of Mesozoic Marine strata and becomes an important oil anu gas exploration block in recent years. Mesozoic also is the important transitional period when the Qiangtang basin shrink, the sedimentary Suowa formation in this period represents the final sedimentary record of Mesozoic Ma- rine sediment. In this paper, after oil geologic investigation, the vertical evolution and horizontal variation in the exposed sedimentary environment in Suowa formation, Upper Jurassic Series are analyzed, these have im- portant guidance for further oil exploration in Esima area.
