Study on the High-Resolution Sequence Stratigraphy of Benxi Formation to Taiyuan Formation in Daniudi Gasfield, Ordos Basin

     The high-resolution sequence stratigraphic theory and method were used in the study of infilling series and the high-resolution sequence stratigraphic unit classified in the Late Palaeozoic middle area of Huabei craton ba- sin. In this area,the Upper Palaeozoic is composed of two parts the infilling series of epicontinental sea basin and the infilling series of intracontinental down-warping basin. The Benxi-Shangshihezi Formations can be divided into 2 super-long-term and 6 longterm base level cycles in this area and are possibly divided into super-long-term base level cycle, long-term base level cycle, middle-term base level cycle and short-term base level cycle. In the Daniudi Gasfield,the units of high-resolution sequence stratigraphy for the Benxi-Taiyuan Formations are first super-long- term base level cycles which are composed of 2 long-term and 6 middle-term base level cycles which are composed of some short-term base level cycles. Middle-term and long-term isochronostratigraphic framework for the Benxi- Taiyuan Formations are founded that provided basis for fine stratigraphic division and correlation in isochronostrati- graphic framework.
