摘要
Moving through hydrocarbon formations, seismic wave may result in energy attenuation and high frequency loss for the sake of imperfect elasticity.A new hydrocarbon detection technique was presented based on a theory of this energy attenuation and high frequency loss.A wavelet spectrum of each trace from a horizon consistent time window both above and below the zone of interest was estimated by cepstrum matching after reducing noise of seismic data. Then attenuation spectrum of windows above and below the zone of interest was estimated by the wavelet spectrum. This attenuation spectrum can be used to detect hydrocarbons in carbonate reservoirs. This technique was applied to carbonate reservoirs in the Y2 well region.Compared with the hydrocarbon detection based on seismic data of interest beds, this hydrocarbon detection technique has more sensitivity and accuracy in hydrocarbon detection of carbonate reservoirs, which helps to geometrically arrange wells and increase the production and revise of hydrocarbons.
