摘要
United Republic of Tanzania is located in the south of the equator (latitude 1°~11.5°), where most gold deposits are closely related to the banded iron formation (BIF). Magnetic susceptibility parameters of banded iron formation in this country were measured, analyzed and sorted in a statistic manner to reveal its magnetic characteristics. Furthermore, their indicating role in indirect search for BIF-type gold deposits is discussed to provide information for mine prediction.
