摘要
The Tianchi volcano, Changbaishan is one of the most famous volcanoes in China. Based on the information provided by the eruption of Mount St Helens of USA on May 18, 1980, in conjunction with the chemical composition and distribution characteristics of the yellow materials, the authors estimated that it resulted from hot water metasomatism during the Millennium eruption, rather than a separate product of an individual volcanic event.
