This paper analyzed sedimentary facies and sedimentary environment of the Xiangshan Group by a detailed study for its rock features,got a conclusion that Xiangshan Group is a set of thick deep-sea turbidite fan deposition with turbidity-based, including three upward thinner,  finer granularity regressive type  (transgression) sequence, showing the deposition of Helan Pull-Slot bend expansion. The facies combinations indicade that the top fan is located in the south of Helan Mountain, Alxa Block and Ordos Block are supplying material source area.
