The First Discovery of Hemusite in China and Its Mineralogical Features
详细信息
摘要

This paper firstly reports the discovery of hemusite from Zijin Copper-Gold Mine in China. The mineral composition of hemusite is Cu6.03Sn0.95Fe0.14Mo0.97S8.0, close to the ideal formula Cu6SnMoS8. The ore has the special mineral assemblage of hemusite, kiddcreekite and mawsonite, which is unique in the world. The major Raman shifts of hemusite and kiddcreekite are firstly reported in the position of 262, 294, 348, 413, 658, 826 cm-1 and 256, 291, 345, 430, 654, 860 cm-1, respectively. The occurrence of complex tungsten-tin-molybdenum-bearing minerals indicates a metallogenic environment of highly acidic with high oxygen and sulfur fugacity, and implies the existence of the deeper porphyry deposit.
