Aiming at the characteristics of oil and gas exploration, which is characterized by less exploration wells and is mainly seismic data, in the northern part of north Chepaizi area, the authors carried on the study of characteristics of seismic response of reservoir. Prediction of stratigraphic -lithological hydrocarbon reservoir is carried out through the use of the techniques of tuning amplitude with dominant frequency to determine the thickness, outlining reservoir boundary of formation with super-denuded zone and describing effective sandbody with characteristic stochastic inversion. The results show that the predicted result of sandbody coincides well with the result of actual drilling.
