SEM study of clay minerals from sandstone reservoir in the Upper Tertiary Zhujiang and Hanjiang Formations reveals their shape and occurrence. Accordingly, this paper makes an approach to type and content of the clay minerals and their influences on the reservoir physical property, showing the role of SEM in study of clay minerals in clastic rock reservoir.
