摘要
The major-ions chemistry of seawater in geological times does not remain similar to present seawater, and has an oscillation between “Calcite Sea” and “Aragonite Sea”. Different evaporatic minerals during the geological epo-ch depend on the chemistry of seawater at the same time. Sylvite is formed at the last phase of evaporatic seawater but has smaller volume than halite, so the chemistry of fluid inclusions in halite may imply the potential sylvite deposits. In this paper, the authors calculate the potential sylvite deposits using published data.
