According to principles of continental sequence stratigraphy and outcrop sequence stratigraphy, the authors identified the sequence interface of Sangzhu, Duwa, Piyaman, Aqike etc.in Hetian area, Xinjiang, established the sequence stratigraphic framework of Hetian area during this time, study shows that Permian-Lower Triassic of this area can be divided into five third-order sequences and twelve systems tracts. The depositional system of the study area has developed five types, including alluvial fan system, fluvial sediment system, lacustrine depository system, delta system, and fan delta system. Based on this, the authors pointed the favorable source rock, reservoirs, cap rocks and combination of source-reservoir-cap.
