Centrifuge Model Tests on the Stability of Sandy Soil Slopes

摘要
Based on the TLJ-2 centrifuge of Southwest Jiaotong University, the stability and damage of sandy soil slope models under different moisture contents were concretely studied. The results showed that the stability of sandy soil slopes had close relationship with moisture content. According to the damage situation after test, in regard to sandy soil slopes which have multiple platforms, whose slip surface was shallow and collapsed by tension crack along different levels of the plotform. The failure type of sandy soil slope is retrogressive slide.
