Preliminary Discussion on the Relationship between Post-Collisional Setting and Volcanic Reservoirs for Oil and Gas Around Kalamaili Suture Zone

详细信息
摘要
After Kalamaili oceanic basin closed, the bilateral landmasses were loosely connected, and intercontinental remnant oceanic basin developed, which indicated the existence of soft-collisionExtensive volcanism developed in post-collisional period around Kalamaili suture zone.Oil and gas exploration in recent years revealed plentiful oil and gas resources in these post-collisional volcanic rocks.This study analyzed the main controlling factors of several volcanic reservoirs around Kalamaili suture zone, and the results indicate that post-collisional volcanism and underpalting of mantle-derived magmas around Kalamaili suture zone had promoted the thermal evolution of organic matters in the hydrocarbon source rocks; post-collisional tectonic evolution of this suture zone was tightly connected with the distribution of Carboniferous hydrocarbon source rocks, the generation and evolution of volcanic reservoir space, and the development of cap rocks,as well as the migration and accumulation of oil and gas by faults, unconformities and reversion structures.
