Ajialongwa gold deposit, discovered in the Ganzi-Litang fault zone, is a middle scale epithermal gold deposits. Wallrock alterations are distributed widely in the area. Wallrock alterations include silicification, pyritization, carbonation and arsenopyritezation, and chloritization. Based on regional geological setting, deposit characteristics, geologic features of deposit, wallrock alterations and ore-forming geological conditions are summed up. It is considered that alterations zones, particularly silicification, carbonation, pyritization, have a close relation with Au mineralization. During fluid-rock interaction, ore forming components were not equally mobile, resulting Au precipitation, enrichment, and formation of gold ore bodies.
