Tectonic System and Its Control on Metallogenesis in Western Junggar as Part of the Central Asia Multi-Core Metallogenic System
详细信息
摘要
The Western Junggar metallogenic belt(WJMB) is the eastward extension of the Balkhash metallogenic belt truncated by the right-lateral strike-slip Chingiz-Junggar fault. It is one of the multiple cores in the Central Asian metallogenic domain(CAMD),which hosts some large and super-large deposits such as the Baogutu porphyry copper,Hatu gold,Saertuohai chromite, and Yangzhuang beryllium deposits. The Western Junggar domino-type tectonic system(WJTS) composed of the NE-extending left-lateral strike-slip Darabut,Mayile, and Baerleike faults and tectonic blocks in-between the faults, which controlled the formation and distribution of the metallogenic belts and sub-belts,and hence, the Cu,Au,Mo,and Cr deposits in the WJMB.The subordinate NE-extending faults,ring-type,λ-type fault systems, and broom-type fractures in the WJTS controlled the formation and distribution of the ore-fields as well as the ore deposits. For example, the NE-extending Anqi fault and Bieluagaxi fault in the central WJTS controlled the distribution of main gold deposits in the WJMB;the broom-type structures controlled the distribution of main porphyry copper deposits such as the Baogutu porphyry copper and associated gold deposits.Meanwhile, the λ-type structures controlled the main chromite deposits in the WJMB.It is proposed that the WJMB could be an important area for the future exploration for Cu,Mo,Au deposits with the potential resources comparable to that of the Balkhash metallogenic belt.Based on the integrated analysis of tectonic systems,we suggest some prospected metallogenic areas for porphyry copper deposits and guides for mineral resource exploration in the WJMB.
