Crystal chemistry and chemical bonding calculation of apatite structure were summarized in this paper. The collophanite consists chiefly of microcrystalline apatite. The X-ray diffraction was applied to analysis the phase, crystallinity, unit cell parameters and crystal size of collophanite. Results of scanning electron micrography with energy dispersive spectrometry show that the main mineral is fluorapatite.
