This paper makes detailed description about the plastic rheological properties of mantle-derived rocks in Dongqiao area based on rock association, fabric of olivines and pyroxenes, macro-rheology, micro-rheology, wave velocity and anisotropy characteristics of rocks and minerals. It is considered that the mantle-derived rocks with genetic characteristics of ultra-high pressure mainly formed in an environment of small ocean basin, and emplaced when the Indian Plate moved towards the Eurasian Plate, and finally finished the tectonic adjustment at near-surface during the Himalayan uplifting.
