Xiaoshanba mining area of Qianzhong bauxite deposit, which the exploitation method is open-pit mining, is elected to be the study area. The HR Quickbird satellite image data as the major source, by data processing, remote sensing interpretation and information extraction, it analysis the mining environment in the study area. The results show the investigation of Xiaoshanba mining area by Quickbird image is good, the mining active area and the nearby environment are investigated.
