Collapses and landslides are the main slope disasters in Beijing Mountains due to complex geology and frequent engineering activities. The disasters mostly happen to rock and artificial slopes, and their failure modes are spall, rock fall, collapse and landslide. Their influencing factors are analyzed from tectonics, lithology, climate and human activities, and preventive measures, accordingly, are proposed.
