Technical research in CNPC for the past 5 years was systematically summarized in this paper. The application effects, technological applicability and future development direction for a series of integrated, popularized and applied new geophysical techniques in CNPC were analyzed. At the same time by systematically analyzing the demands required by future exploration & development in CNPC, the task and development strategy which includes the 3 technical series of oil and gas exploration geophysics, reservoir exploration geophysics and natural gas exploration geophysics for CNPC were proposed.
