///This paper aims to provide the understanding of urban geology during different periods, to analyze its progress and present situation at home and abroad, and to summarize its characteristics and developmental trends. With a view of development, the paper proposes that urban geology is an epitome of earth science, it plays significant role in improving both urban economy and earth science.
