In order to eliminate the ambiguity of seismic interpretation, the authors built two seismogeologic models through analyzing the features of the sedimentary formations in the study area and the drilling and log data. The studies provide a reliable theoretical basis for horizon calibration and tracing in the facies change belt of the slope break zone. It is believed that the faulting of some pre-salt events is an artifact caused by the deformation of the middle gypsum layer. The forward modeling results provide a solid basis for future seismic interpretation.
