摘要

•Geothermal potential maps for conventional system were created for southern Italy.•VIGORThermoGIS procedure uses the volume method to assess the geothermal potential.•Our method combines geological, geophysical and petrophysical parameters.•We computed the emissions reduction according to the geothermal potential available.•The maps are useful for geothermal operators, local administrations and governments.
