家蚕无愧于天虫的美名

摘要
"蚕"字上"天"下"虫",故有天虫的美名,一条吐丝的小虫创造了惊人的奇迹。她造就了纺织纤维皇后的蚕丝,为人类创造了无限的福祉;她铺就了举世闻名的"丝绸之路",一条担负着政治、外交、贸易、文化、宗教、技术等多种使命的文明之路;她引导形成了全球重要农业遗产的浙江湖州桑基鱼塘系统,成为全球低洼地有效利用的典范;她既是生物学研究的模式昆虫,又是理想的生物反应器;她当然也是中国灿烂的蚕丝绸文化之主角。
Silkworm: its Chinese word "Can" is consisted of "heaven" at the top and "insect" at the bottom, so is enjoyed famous name as "Celestial Insects". This silk-spinning insect has achieved amazing miracles. She created the silk of the textile fiber Queen and brought about unlimited welfare for mankind; she paved the world-famous Silk Road,a civilized road with political, diplomatic, trade, cultural, religious and technological missions; she led to the formation of the Mulberry-Dyke Fish Pond System in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, which is an important agricultural heritage in the world and well known as the model for the effective utilization of wet low-land in the world. She is not only a model insect for biology research, but also an ideal bioreactor. She is, of course, the protagonist of China′s brilliant sericulture and silk culture.
