交际教学法在高职院校英语翻译教学中的应用

摘要
近年来,国内外对于翻译课程教学的研究取得了不少进展,但是,对于在高职高专院校如何针对学生的具体特点开展翻译课程的教学研究较少,而且有深度的研究也不多。翻译课程作为高职院校商务英语专业的一门核心专业课程,对于培养学生的商务英语综合能力,提高学生英语素质,实现高职院校商务英语专业学生的培养目标,都具有重要意义。然而,由于教师、学生及各种客观因素的影响,翻译课程的教学现状一直不是很令人满意。高职院校翻译课程的专业教师及其他人员也对该课程的课程地位、培养目标、课程教学理念、教学方法、教材选用、考核办法等方面的问题进行了一系列的研究。但是,上述研究大多不能深入研究高职院校翻译课程的特点并提出有效的课程教学方法。20世纪70年代在西方出现的交际教学法强调培养学生的语言运用能力,这非常符合高职高专院校的培养目标和学生的学习需求,在现代社会对高职院校的教学提出新的要求的情况下,应该在高职高专院校的日常教学中加以应用和推广。
     在结合已有研究的基础上,本文联系高职院校的实际情况,对翻译课程在高职院校的教学进行了较深入的研究,提出了如何解决问题的办法。全文正文共五章。引言部分介绍了翻译教学的基本概念,翻译课程在高职高专院校课程体系中的地位,高职高专院校翻译课程改革的必要性及面临的主要问题。第二章介绍了交际教学法的产生和发展的历史及在应用中的主要问题。第三章主要解释了交际教学法在高职高专院校翻译课程教学的应用。第四章对交际教学法的运用情况进行了分析。第五章对全文进行了总结。
Much progress has been made so far both at home and abroad in terms of research on the instruction of translation. However, there are few insights into the particular characteristics of the students in vocational colleges and the implementation of the translation course according to their characteristics. Translation, as a key course for business English majors in vocational colleges, plays a significant role in the development of students’all-round English language ability, and the improvement of students’language competence and the fulfillment of the instruction objectives for vocational colleges. Unfortunately, influenced by the overall qualities of teachers, students and other teaching conditions, the situation of the translation course instruction is not satisfactory in vocational colleges. Teachers and researchers in vocational colleges have carried out researches and experiments in the field over the past years. They have conducted researches on the role of the course, instruction objective, teaching concepts, methodology, teaching materials and testing methods of the course. But most of the above researches did not put forward an effective way of implementing the teaching of the course based on the real situation and characteristics of vocational colleges. The communicative approach to language teaching, advented in 1970s in the west, stress the development of students’ability to use the target language. This appeals to the teaching objectives of vocational colleges and the needs of vocational colleges students. So in the new situation, the approach should be introduced and adopted in vocational colleges.
     Based on the previous research, the paper takes a deep insight into the teaching of translation course based on the particular situation of vocational colleges and proposes the solutions accordingly. The article is divided into five chapters. Chapter One introduces the basic concepts of translation, the role of the course in the curriculum system in vocational colleges and the urgency of the reform of the course and its troubles; Chapter Two introduces the advent and development of the communicative approach and the main aspects of its implementation; Chapter Three introduces the application of the communicative approach in Chinese vocational colleges; Chapter Four makes an analysis of the results of the approach in vocational colleges and puts forward some proposals to deal with the implementation of the approach; Last Chapter concludes the paper.
