数据仓库系统在商业连锁企业中的应用
摘要
随着计算机应用的普及，以及数据库技术的不断完善，计算机管
理系统已经广泛应用于各行各业之中。在企业管理系统运作过程中，
积累了大量的业务数据（操作数据），这些数据完整地记录了企业在各
个时期的运作情况。因此如何有效地管理和分析这些历史数据，进而
从中提取出有意义的成分（信息数据），用来支持企业进行决策分析成
为数据库领域的研究热点，数据仓库技术正是在这种背景下产生的。
1992年W．H．Inmon在其Building the Data Warehouse一书
中提出了数据仓库的概念、特征及相关的理论。随后各大数据库生产
厂商纷纷推出其面向数据仓库的解决方案，如Informix的
MetaCube，Oracle的Express等；围绕数据仓库进行的理论研究也
逐渐展开，斯坦福大学、数据仓库研究中心等一些科研机构提出了许
多建设性的理论。
随着我国计算机应用水平的提高，在商业连锁店建立数据仓库系
统的条件已经成熟。在应用研究中，如何为商业连锁企业有效地组织
数据、构建数据仓库系统已为大家所关注。本文以北京明珠连锁店数
据仓库系统为例，介绍了数据仓库系统的一些基本概念，如：数据仓
库系统的组成、数据仓库概念、联机分析概念等，并给出了一个构建
商业连锁企业数据仓库系统的实例。
Today, computer Management Information Systems(MIS) have already been
applied in every walk of life along with the popularization of computer and database
technology. During the operation of MIS, a large amount of data accumulated, which
fully recorded the company status in different periods. So it becomes the hotspot in
the research of database that how to manage and analyze these operation data
effectively and draw information data from them. Under this background, Data
Warehouse technology was put forward.
W. H. Inmon put forward the concept characteristic and correlative theory of
Data Warehouse in his book Building the Data Warehouse which was published in
1992. After that, many database companies brought out their solutions on Data
Warehouse, such as MetCube of Informix, Express of Oracle, etc; and many
organizations such as Stanford University, Data Warehouse Center, etc. engaged in
the research of Data Warehousing, and raised many constructive theory.
In nowadays, developing a data warehouse system for a chain-store is not a
dream. In the research of Data Warehousing, how to organize data efficiently and
develop Data Warehouse System in middle or small scale businesses is a problem. In
this article, you will find answers of these questions ,like , what the components of a
data warehouse system, what a data warehouse, what OLAP. Besides, it gives you
an example of a chain-store data warehouse system, Mingzhu data warehouse system.
