中国近现代教会大学办学研究

摘要
中国近现代是一个西学东渐，中西文化冲突融合的时期。在思想
和文化领域，由西方传教士在华开办的教会大学，从19世纪末期产
生到20世纪中期在中国大陆地区的终结，经历了风风雨雨几十年。
其作为一种强制性的文化移植，尽管存在着明显的局限，但从中西文
化交流角度和传播西方的民主、自由和科学等方面来看，都对近现代
中国产生了比较深远的影响。
以传教为最初目的的教会大学为了在中国扎根成长，将科学与宗
教联系起来加以传播，但是这二者之间的联盟是何等脆弱。20世纪
20年代，在中国民族主义浪潮的猛烈冲击下，二者的联盟很快被打碎，
中国教会大学逐渐迈入本土化和世俗化的历程，宗教性开始减弱。中
华人民共和国成立后，基督教开始作为普通宗教信仰，被纳入了中国
发展的正常轨道。教会大学也被收归国有，逐渐成为中国高等教育的
一个重要组成部分。教会最初设立大学的目的与实际结果产生了极大
的偏离。
本文共分五个部分，主要内容为：探讨教会大学得以产生和存在
的条件、背景；针对教会大学的管理机构、院系与专业的设置、课程、
教学方法、师资和学生管理等几方面进行论述，并分析其特点；教会
大学与近现代历届中国政府的关系；教会大学在中国大陆的终结；在
上述论述、分析基础上，得出一些对我国高校建设和入世后我国中外
合作办学有益的启示。
In modern times, Chinese was in the period that cultural conflict merged and the east study the west gradually. In the fields of thought and culture, by western missionary being in missionary university that China run, emerged from latter stage of the 19th century in the end of the area of China's Mainland to the middle period of the 20th century, have gone through trials and hardships for decades. It is transplanted as a kind of mandatory culture, though there are obvious limitations, propagate western democracy, freedom and getting scientific respect come and watch in terms of Chinese and Western cultural exchanges, has a more far-reaching impact on modern times China.
Taking preaching as initial purpose church for take root and grow up in China University, link science to religion and travel, how fragile is alliance of the two. After the foundation of the People's Republic of China, Christianity begin as ordinary religious belief, have been included in the normal track of China's development. Missionary universities to be nationalized too, become an important component of China's higher education gradually.
This text divides five parts altogether, main content is: Probe into and teach the terms, background that can be produced and exist in missionary university; To teaching the management organization, courtyard department and specialized establishment of the university, course, manage several respects describe by teaching method, teachers, student, and analyze its characteristic; Missionary university and all previous relations of Chinese Government
in modern times; Missionary university end in China's Mainland; In expound the fact, analyze foundation while being above-mentioned, draw some build and cooperate with China and foreign countries of our country after entering the WTO and run a school helpful enlightenment to of our country university.
和文化领域，由西方传教士在华开办的教会大学，从19世纪末期产
生到20世纪中期在中国大陆地区的终结，经历了风风雨雨几十年。
