科学传播研究的可视化分析

摘要
很多人都熟知弗朗西斯·培根曾说过“知识就是力量”这句名言,但很少有人提起他曾说过的另外一句话:“知识的力量不仅取决于其自身的价值,更取决于它是否被传播以及被传播的深度与广度。”
     随着现代科学技术的迅猛发展,科学传播发生了一系列重大变革,然而,目前出现科学传播理念明显滞后于社会进步与科学技术腾飞要求的情况。由于缺乏随时更新的理论指导和观念支持,国家科学政策的制定出现被动局面,从而制约了科学对社会的推动作用。本文采用科学知识图谱的可视化方法——时间线、交叉图和地形式可视化技术,绘制科学传播研究领域的科学知识图谱,通过可视化分析,构建科学传播学的整体框架,以期为科学传播寻找到一个“整体解决方案”;在充分借鉴国外科学传播发展经验的基础上,引进和利用其他学科有效的研究范式和方法,促进科学传播学的发展进程。科学传播研究是社会现实发展的一种回应,通过对科学传播研究领域的文献计量和可视化分析,让科学传播理论研究与社会现实形成良性互动,为国家科学政策的制定提供借鉴。
     本文采用时间线和交叉图技术,从科学传播学的内在结构变化、知识来源以及与外部相关学科互动三个方面来分析科学传播学发展的动因,揭示科学传播学发展演进的规律,从而为下一步探索科学传播领域的研究热点奠定基础。
     本文采用论文-关键词交叉图技术,绘制科学传播领域的研究热点可视化图谱,并通过不同时间段标注的三幅图的对比分析,探寻科学传播研究热点的演进轨迹,即从“科学知识”到“传播策略”的演进,从“信任科学”到“促进创新”的演进,从“缺失模型”到“语境模型”的演进。
     本文采用时间线和地形式可视化技术,绘制科学传播研究前沿可视化图谱,更加形象、清晰地将科学传播研究的前沿凸显出来,为探测未来科学传播研究的主题提供线索。目前,科学传播研究前沿关注四个主题:决定人们自身生活质量的“当代健康”和“环境保护”,科学知识转化为生产力的行业性知识转移,新技术支持下的新媒体与传统媒体在新时代的应用,科学传播学元研究。
Francis Bacon's saying of "Knowledge is power" is familiar to many people.However, few people refer that Bacon also said that the knowledge power not only lies on its own value, but also lies on its depth and width to be communicated.
     With the rapid speed of science and technology,a series of changes happed in science communication.However,up to now,the idea of science communication is obviously lagging behind the social progress and the scientific and technological development.Because of being lack of the newly updated theories and ideas,the national science and technology policy or STP is lost in the passive situations.And it limits the science's important role in promoting the social development.The paper uses the mapping knowledge domains' visualization techniques,i.e.Timeline,Crossmap and Landscape to plot the knowledge domains of science communication research.By the visualized analysis,an integrated frame is constructed and an "overall problem resolving blueprint" is to be discovered.On the base of learning foreign countries' experiences in science communication,the paper takes advantages of the effective research paradigm and method in other specialties to promote the development of science communication research.Science communication research is a response to the social reality and development.Science communication research has a two-way interaction between that in theories and practices by visualizing and bibliometric analysis in science communication specialty to provide experiences for making the national STPs.
     Using timeline and crossmap techniques,the paper analyzes the reasons of science communication's development in three aspects of the internal structural changes,knowledge sources and exterior related specialties' interplays.The revolution law in science communication is presented.And it also lays the foundation of the next step to explore the hotspots in science communication research.
     The paper uses paper-keyword crossmap technique to map the knowledge domains of science communication research hotspots.By comparing the three time-related maps, innovated tracks for the changing hotspots are found,that is,the changing tracks from "Science Push" to "Policy Pull",from "Deficit Model" to "Context Model",from "popularization impetus" to "innovation impetus".
     Timeline and landscape techniques are used to plot the research fronts visualization map in science communication research.Research fronts in science communication research are presented much more clearly and vividly.Many research fronts are found including the "modern health" and "environmental protection",industrial knowledge transfer,the new media supported by the high technology and the utilization of the traditional media in the new era,and the meta-research in science communication.
